Congratulations to Aphra on being selected into the Gymnastics NSW High Performance Squad! Aphra has been with our program for 10 years and is our first Senior International gymnast. We're excited to help her develop to compete amongst Australia's top gymnasts. We love taking the opportunity to learn with Aph having her first State Clinic on the 10th February, a 6 hour training day in Sydney, where we received input from judges on routine composition and execution. Special shout out to Andrey from Infinity Gymsports who helped her find her right leg a little easier in her full twisting double backs. Thanks for sharing your expertise. HAWAII TOUR - Jan 8th-22nd 2019 BGA is off to Hawaii for the 3rd time as we take our largest team ever, 32 gymnasts (100 with support crew), overseas! Competing in 2 competitions, Gymnastics in Paradise and Aloha Gymfest, along with competitors from USA, NZ, Canada, Japan and Australia. In addition to the competitions, the girls will participate in a GYMFEST pincic, Hawaiin Luau, Island Tour and much more! it will be a trip to remember for the girls and their families. GYMNASTICS NSW ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT
Congratulations to Jorgie Hills and Chailend Malinowski on being nominated for GNSW Senior and Junior (respectively) WG Levels Athlete of the Year 2018. Joplin Vertigan - Tatterton our recently departed (to train at the National Institute of Circus Arts) coach also was nominated, for YoungLeader of the Year. Well done to Chailend for taking home the award in her division!!! |
