UPDATE 31st JANUARY 2022
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the gym from Monday 31st of January. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible we ask that you follow the procedures outlined below:
1. In order to minimise face to face contact, all gymnasts must be enrolled into their class for Term 1 via our online system, prior to attendance. If you have not yet done so and are having difficulty, please email us and we can help you out.
2. Gymnasts should arrive at class ready to participate, parents will not be allowed into the gym to change their children.
3. Until Government Restrictions change, anyone 12 and over is required to wear a mask to enter the gym (Medical Exemptions excepted).It is not a requirement to wear a mask while exercising/participating in a class). All gymnasts are welcome to wear a mask.
4. Children will need to check in at the door. Please remain nearby until they have entered, to ensure there is no problem with their enrolment.
5. Weather permitting, the large roller doors will remain open to aid with ventilation. We request that you do not stand within 1.5m of the doors and if you are remaining in the car park please maintain physical distancing (and beware of cars).
6. Please be in the car park 5 minutes prior to the end of the class to collect your child from outside the entrance.
7. Kindergym Carers who are attending, must wear a mask in order to enter the building (Medical Exemptions excepted).
8. Please follow NSW Health Guidelines in regards to staying home when ill, isolating when a close contact, and return to activity after Covid Isolation.
During the class, programs will be structured to keep children apart and they will be encouraged to distance, however due to the nature of the class, this can not be guaranteed.
All participants should be dressed in close fitting attire with no zips, buckles, buttons or loose straps (leotards, leggings, bike pants, crop top or fitted singlet are all appropriate). Hair must be tied back out the way and no jewelry, watches or Fitbits should be worn (small earrings are fine). As there is no water fountain every one should bring a labelled drink bottle.
As staff are unable to attend while unwell or in isolation please bear with us for the next few months as replacement coaches may become more common.
We ask that families understand that general operations may not always be perfect, but we will be doing everything possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone.

2. The venue remains a drop off/pick up venue, with the exception of our day time Kindergym classes, where we ask all individuals 16 and older to wear masks, check in and follow all COVID policies outlined by staff or on display
3. Recreational Gymnasts will check in via the main entry and Squad gymnasts via the back entry to reduce traffic at entry points
4. The venue will abide by any number restrictions imposed, will aim to keep the building as ventilated as possible with the opening of large roller doors (weather permitting) and keep the children as physically separated as possible
5. We encourage participants to be vaccinated where applicable
6. We will allow make up lessons for those missed due to COVID isolation, where possible.
7. We ask you to stay at home if unwell, if you are COVID positive or are a close contact of a COVID positive case.

3. All gymnasts 12 and over must be wearing a mask. Those under 12 are also welcome to wear a mask.
4. Children will need to check in at the door. If you could remain nearby (wearing a mask) until they have entered, to ensure there is no problem with their enrolment.
5. Weather permitting, the large roller doors will remain open to aid with ventilation. We request that you do not stand within 1.5m of the doors and if you are remaining in the car park please wear a mask and maintain 1.5m physical distancing.
6. Please be in the car park 5 minutes prior to the end of the class to collect your child.
7. Kindergym Carers who are attending, must show Valid Vaccination documentation/exemption and Service NSW Check In before entering the building.

8th OCTOBER
We are excited to be reopening all our classes on Monday the 11th - WELCOME BACK!
Classes are now open for booking for all current and new members.
BGA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - OCT 2021
• Under 12 years - No vaccination requirement. No mask required.
• 12 - 15 years – Masks are required but not whilst exercising.
• 16 years and over - Full Vaccination (or Medical exemption) is required to be shown upon entry (as per the health order). Masks are required but not whilst exercising. Must complete COVID Safe Check In
• With exception of our Kindergym day time program, no parents will be permitted in the gym. (Drop and go rules apply).
• Kindergym parents and carers will need to provide proof of double vaccination (or medical exemption) to enter. Masks are required.
BGA will have a COVID Marshall at the door, to check certificates etc, but to help us speed up entry, we ask for those KG parents planning to attend, that proof of vaccination documents are emailed prior to Monday – blackertgymnastics@hotmail.com
Acceptable documents include the Medicare or MyGov phone app, a copy of either, a signed doctors letter.
Outside of these and the guidelines issued by NSW Health, we will be unable to permit access.
In addition,
• All COVID Safe and sanitary rules apply.
• Distancing will be encouraged but due to the nature of activities, cannot be guaranteed.
• Classes will be limited to 8 in a group (+ Coach).
We ask that families understand that general operations may not always be perfect, but we will be doing everything possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone.
If you have any doubts or hesitations, please raise them prior to entry.
The employees of BGA will be following guidelines issued to them, we ask that their instructions are followed.
Any unpleasant behavior towards staff will not be tolerated.
5th OCTOBER 2021
We have just received the go ahead from Gymnastics NSW to open on Monday the 11th October.
Requirements to opening are as follows:
As Lake Macquarie is a Regional LGA, those students in the Central Coast LGA should be able to attend by 80% NSW Vaccination opening Monday.
Kindergym parents attending the class with their child must show proof of full (double) vaccination (or Medical exemption) upon entry into building. For all other classes it will be a drop of pick up scenario for all students, thereby eliminating the necessity for parents to enter the building.
Families owing Fees will not be able to re-enrol until outstanding fees are paid.
If you were in lockdown for the whole of Term 3 and had made full payment, please email us your preferred class and we will re-enrol you with full term credit.
Current members - if you are unable to access your Customer Portal, please email us. If you wish to use an Active Kids or Creative Kids Voucher please send them through ASAP via email for us to activate your $100 discount before booking.
Bookings will be open to non members on Monday 4th October.
